CCGC Council Activities

Parks Projects and areas of concern include recreation, housing, senior citizens, transportation, childcare, education, health and human services, and emergency resource consultation for families and children in Gwinnett.

Community Council sponsors these ongoing activities:

  • CCGC Networking Fair is held every year in the fall and is open to the public.  It is a chance for members to promote their agencies and network with other members.
  • CCGC grants are given annually to member groups.  In the last few years, grants have been awarded to AIDGwinnett, Covenant Counseling & Family Resource Center, Gwinnett Coalition for Health & Human Services, Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, J.M. Tull YMCA, Norcross Meals on Wheels, and Rainbow Village.

  • We recognize Phoenix High School students each semester for academic achievement. We honor these students, who are parents, for passing all of their classes
  • Each year during the holiday season, a local charity is identified and aided by members of the Council with gifts or monetary support.
